The short version
If you subscribe to the newsletter, this site stores your email address so it can send you the newsletter. That is the only personal information it collects. It is never sold, rented or shared for marketing, and there is no advertising or cross-site tracking on this site.
What is collected
Your email address, and only if you type it into one of the newsletter forms and submit it. Alongside it the site records which form you used, so it is possible to tell which parts of the site people actually sign up from.
Nothing else is requested. There is no account system, no payment processing and no contact form storing messages. The contact links open your own email client, so those messages travel through your email provider, not through this site.
Cookies and storage
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Standard WordPress security cookies are only set for people who log in to manage the site.
Who else is involved
This site runs on WordPress and is hosted by Hostinger, which, like any web host, handles the requests your browser makes and stores the newsletter list on its servers.
Links out to Amazon, Barnes & Noble and WBAP take you to those companies’ own sites, where their privacy policies apply rather than this one. No data about you is passed to them by this site when you follow a link.
Your choices
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from future sends. You can also email matt@eyeseebook.com at any time to ask what is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted outright. No explanation is required and deletion means deletion.
Children
This site is intended for a general adult audience and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has subscribed, email the address above and the record will be removed.
Changes
If what this site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
